One Click, One Remote

Modern homes are packed with lots of audio/video devices from Roku's to Apple TV's - Smart TVs to 5.2 (or more) surround sound, and along with this technological boon comes a pressing challenge – a confusing clutter of remotes. Every device and its remote bring a different set of settings for an optimized performance. As such, recalling the right settings to set the mood for relaxation or catch your favorite game becomes an ordeal.

  • The Dilemma: Multiple audio and video gadgets in modern households.
  • The Result: A confusing clutter of remotes
  • The Challenge: Remembering optimal settings for each device.

The All-Too-Common TV Remote Scenario

Here's a situation many can relate to: You're seated comfortably, ready to delve into your favorite show. You reach for the TV remote, only to realize there are three remotes which look almost identical. Once you've figured that out and turned on the TV, there's the challenge of selecting the right HDMI input. Then, the surround sound system needs syncing. If you have a Roku, AppleTV, Firestick, or any other device, which is another layer to the process. By the time you've got everything in order, you might find that you've missed something.

Surely, there's a more streamlined approach to all this?

A Renovation Journey: Color Changing Landscape Lighting Dissatisfied with the mundane look of his outdoor lighting from a different company, our client sought something which stood out. He had already completed a total renovation of his home's interior and, after following our projects on social media where we posted our color changing landscape lighting projects, knew he wanted the vibrant, color-changing lights. This choice promised not just illumination but an enhancement of his home’s nighttime charm, with the ability to tailor the ambiance for any occasion—from serene summer evenings to festive holiday nights.

Color Changing Landscape Lighting and Initial Thoughts I was speaking to a long-time client who recently upgraded every aspect of her extremely large waterfront home. She had removed the cabinets and the entire kitchen, and we had upgraded the audio/video/lighting and control systems. The interior designer did an impressive job on the interior design and decor, a photo-ready foyer that has had me and many others pulling out their phones to snap pictures. Amidst all of this, I mentioned that her home looked truly amazing during the daytime- but it looked very similar to the other houses on her block during the nighttime (knowing that she obviously wanted her home to stand out). She mentioned that she agreed, and it was also time for an outdoor change. I created a plan of attack to add some energy to her beautiful home that would make it truly a standout at night. We installed an FX Luminaire color-changing landscape lighting system.
