A Mission to Upgrade

The new owner recognized the need for upgrading the system. The older compents needed to be retired so advanced technology could be installed to elevate their audio-visual experience. Over the years, some speakers had been removed, and the system was slowly turning into a Frankenstein-like mess.

The heart of the transformation was the Yamaha RX-A2 receiver. We also used an Elan HDBaseT exender. This device allows 4k components to work together over Cat5/6 wire when it isn't possible to run a new 4k HDMI cable. The client also wanted to replace the outdated speakers. Instead of using right/center/left speakers with a subwoofer, he chose a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 200 Left and Right speakers. This decision, coupled with receiver adjustments, revitalized the sound quality, offering an immersive audio experience which filled every corner of the room.

Delighting Our Customers: The Joy of Simplicity

Our client had also requested a control system which was easy to use, even for those less technologically inclined. The original system included a 20 year old Philips Pronto TSU6000. We upgraded this with a Universal Remote Control MX990 RF remote control system. 

When I received a call from the client's wife expressing her excitement and relief at the simplicity of the new system, it made the whole experience even more rewarding. Her words, "This is going to be so easy to use," echoed the delight of a customer who can now seamlessly control their home entertainment system.
